'Oh, Thank Heaven For ,77 1. Senior Class Officers: Pam Martin, Presi- dent, Denise Nixon, Vice-President, Lynne Crotts, Secretary, Teresa Martin, Treasurer. For the Class of '77, this year brought back many memories of years past. It was the end of twelve years of hard work and fun. Years of memorable moments were found here at GHS for the Class of '77. Some of the Seniors started to Glen- var in the seventh grade. It was their first taste of high school. The rest of the Senior class came to Glenvar in the eighth grade. As years passed, the Class of '77 grew in every possi- ble way, physically, mentally, and together. They also grew to love Glenvar and what she stood for. Here they had spent half of their school life with her. Each day they had walked her familiar halls and heard the familiar voices that they held. The Senior class was not sure of what to expect of the on coming day. Sometimes it 14 Seniors was a perfect day, it held pleasant memories. But then, for some, it was what they thought, would be the worst day of their life. No matter what kind of a day it was though, it was another day of memories. At the end of each year, the Class of '77 anticipated what the next year held for them. As the freshmen class, it represented that it would be the last year they would be the youngest students to attend GHS. Next came the sophomore year and learning to drive. No more having to ask Mom or Dad to drive you on your date! But the junior year had to be the hardest working and most reward- ing. They worked hard that year and it paid off, because the Prom they gave was beautiful. But another large part of being a Iunior was the order- ing of class rings. Then at last, the big year arrived - their Senior Year. The year many of them had looked forward to for twelve years, it had finally arrived. For some it seemed the year passed too slowly, and yet for others it was all too short. The year had been a special one to the Seniors. They pro- duced the annual Senior Talent Show and they took over the reign of the Bleacher Bums. They anticipated graduation with excitement, sorrow, happiness and pride. The Class of '77 was special because it was to be the last graduating class of GHS. The memories of the past years will re- main with the Seniors for many years to come. But their Senior year will have had to be the most memor- able, as they became the graduating Class of '77.
