They began the year with a mock election. Many students were involved in this elec- tion by portraying candidates, re- porters, and campaign managers. Glenvar students were given the op- portunity to register to vote in the mock election. This was not the only activity they experienced. All Social Studies teachers applied career edu- cation to their curriculum and many things contributed to a successful year for the Social Studies Depart- ment. 1.
