Thornton VVilder's Pulitzer Prize-Winning play, Our Town, shows the life of ordinary people in an ordinary town. A down-to-earth play, Our Town is also profound and thought provoking. In her last speech Emily, the lead, says of man's effort to comprehend life, They don't understand much, do they? Our Town was produced through the efforts of many people. Barbara Bosworth and Joan Aurelia were very successful as business managers, while Carole Singer and Carol Ann O'Keefe were the chairmen of the costumes committee. Publicity heads were John Whit- ney and Ellen Winer. I8
