The Home Economics Department serves many students in a number of different course areas. The Multi-Area Home Econom- ics is a cooperative program for students at the senior level. Students learn and experi- ence in such areas as Food Service. Nurse Aide. Child Care. Clothing Service. To create and maintain beauty around public and private areas is the primary job of a horticulturist, therefore, this course involves the growing of flowers, ornamental shrubs, and nursery stock Students are involved in the planning of landscapes and floral arrangements They also learn about management of flower shops, golf courses, parks, nurseries and the maintenance and repair of small gas engines The students work in a greenhouse, in the flower shop, and out of doors
