Y .1 fwfr? French Club's first meeting was the French Olympics, with French games such as bango, Simon dit, and mille bornes. The traditional Monte Carlo night was a big success. Stu- dents received chips for betting, while roulette and craps were among the favorite of the Casino games. Players with the most chips at the end won prizes of French bread and cheese. Entertainment was provided by our own Can-Can Girls. De- cember's event was Christmas carol- ing. We participated in the Inter- national Dinner with the Spanish and German clubs. Our final activity was the progressive dinner with the original French dishes at different members houses.

W if fi GERNMi CLUB The German Club started the year with their annual bash known as The Oktoberfest . There were plenty of appetizing dishes and volunteer members of the band provided back- ground music. The highlight of the evening was the Root Beer Drinking-Contest in which the contestants tried to drink a quart of Root Beer and avoid passing out. At Christmas, the club members went caroling at various rest homes in the area, singing was done in German, of course. It emphasizes leadership, fellowship, and the right to be free in expressing your ideas as an indicidual. The VICA club is an interesting and worth while club to get involved with. During the 1975-76 school year-at GlenOak East, VICA had many exciting social, club and civic activities. Together, VICA represents fun, excite- ment and pleasure, Apart, VICA stands for You, the most important element in making the club work.
