Jerry Coleman, our gifted art major, has great ability in the field of art and has a promising future ahead of him. John Shields has won the local Driving Rodeo two years in a row. This year, first three places went to Glenn. Dave Chenault won second place, and Larry Erdle won third. PERSON . -iy ykJFORDJia J . Dorothea Jacobson, our lovely and ac- complished pianist, has greatly enhanced the performances of both the band and chorus this year. Our two most distinguished math stu- dents, Patty Mcpherson and Steve James won the local contest held at State Lab this fall. Steve went on to Indiana Uni- versity and won a bronze medal. The assistance of Becky Kindred, Cheryl Fry, and Pat Taber in the library is greatly appreciated by Miss Latta. Margaret Wimmer, Marian Meyer, Martha Crock, Barbara Robbins, and Connie Hamblenhelp keep our office run- ning smoothly.

Dorothea Jacobson, Andrea Spencer, Janet Lemmon, and Linda Kirby were the top scorers in the etymology tests in the sophomore class. Work on your word lists, sophomore boys ! The 14 young ladies pictured above were close competitors to the winners of the word study. ALITIES state Award winners in G. A. A. were Margaret Ferrari and Pat Taber. Con- gratulations, Margaret and Pat! Coach Marcinko, together with his pro- teges, Jim Walker and Barbara Altman, have inspired many students to join speech class. Jeanne Gallion and Zayda Coltharp en- tered the Latin contest last fall at State Lab. Zayda won third place in the local. Rick James, our versatile sophomore, emceed Campus Revue this year. Thanks, Rick. Marion Meyer, a charming sophomore girl, came to our country four years ago from Germany.
