IMAGES 1978 GLENN HIGH SCHOOL Birmingham, Alabama Foreword May this 1978 Images capture the precious memories reflected in the faculty and student body of Glenn High School. We sincerely hope we have represented you in the most complimentary way. It was you who helped make our school what it is. Our high school days are filled with cherished memories. Some of you remember better than others, such as that important game you wanted to win, the sock hops, the class parties, the thrill of being a senior, and at last the wonderful feeling of accomplishment when the coveted diploma is placed in your hand. To help you remember these special moments, we present to you the 1978 IMAGES. 2 Dedication From the first day you came to us, here at Glenn High School, you have shown us what it means to care about something. Your love and devotion in your work has proven to us that you are the type of person who strives for perfection. There are no limits to the amount of effort and time that you will spend to achieve that one desired goal. You have certainly proven this in your achievements with the 1977-78 Glenn High School Marching Band. You are one of a kind, a truly great man. We sincerely appreciate and thank you for all you have done. So it is to you, Mr. Charles D. Reed, that we, the Annual Staff, dedicate this 1978 IMAGES. 3 Looking for, waiting for, yone ms. Some make far better students at 21 than they would have at 18. Some need time to learn more about themselves and others. About what they want to do with their lives. Today’s Army offers them this time. CALL ME. Time to train, travel, meet people, and learn a skill. Time to understand the value of a steady job with a good starting salary, $397.50 a month before deductions. There’s also the opportunity to begin college while still in the Army. With the Army paying up to 75% of the tuition. And a choice to participate in the New Veteran's Program. You may save from $5 to $75 per month. Every dollar you save will be matched $2 to $1. In 36 months, you’ll have up to $81 to continue your education. ARMY SGT. BILL BIGBY 604 19th Street Ensley, A1 786-3174 124 Join the people who’ve joined the Army. Mrs. Cotton Pres.
