Text from Pages 1 - 96 of the 1968 volume:

The pathways through high school are memorable ones. We hope that, through this book, we have portrayed a span of some of these byways upon which each of us travels into our future. hducation is. in itself, a wide, wonderful, and heavily-traveled highway. Many students proceed along this road-each striving to reach the destination which, during these four years, he has set for himself. Just as some streets are unpaved; many of the roads to success and happiness are also unpaved. All along the way there arc many rough and threatening sections and some of them seem unsur-mountable. However, for those who have kept their goals in view, the many difficulties can be overcome and the pitfalls will have served the purpose of furnishing them a means of guidance. We are proud of our school, our administration, and our faculty. Without them our journey during these years of growth and transition would be futile. As Shakespeare said: “All the world’s a stage” and the high school years are periods of great growth and transition-pointing the direction to which each of us will go. Through athletic, scholastic. and social activities, Glenn Vocational High School is dedicated to helping each individual develop his greatest potential. With these things in mind. I present to you the 1968 Rebel, to keep and to cherish, as a reminder of this important part of your formative years. Kenneth P.
