LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT As the curtain falls on our student days, the stage is set for graduation. We, the Class of 1953, do hereby bequeath these, our worldly attributes, and declare this our last will and testament. ARTICLE I—TO THE SCHOOL Item 1. We will to Glenn High School . .. our everlasting loyalty for the many happy happy days we spent here, for we know we will cherish our memories of this school always. ARTICLE HH—TO THE FACULTY Item I. To Mr. Heffner, our principal, we will our appreciation for his guidance, patience, and friendship in making our Junior and Senior years happy ones. Item II. To our Advisors) Mrs. King and Miss Baker, we leave our thanks for their guidance and unselfish interest in not only our class activities, but also in our many problems as well. Item III. To Miss Mottesheard and Mrs. Greene, our annual sponsors, we leave our appreciation for your patience and interest in helping us with our annual, for we know that without you we could not have succeeded. We leave best wishes for many happy and successful years to come. ARTICLE III—TO THE UNDERCLASSMEN Item I. To the Juniors we will the privilege of being the Senior class with every hope that they enjoy their Senior year as much as we did. Item II. To the Sophomores we leave our school spirit so that when you are Seniors you too will be proud of Glenn High School. Item III. To the Freshmen we leave a list of our mistakes so you can profit by them and be better Seniors than we were. ARTICLE IV—INDIVIDUALS Item 1. J, Jimmy Holland will to Donald Cline my green pants so that he can wear them with his chartreuse shirt. Keep them clean, Duck! Item 2. I, Jean Holder will to Linda Swaim my blond hair. Go easy on the chemicals, Linda. Item 3. I, Betty Angel, bequeath the honor of being SecretaryTreasurer of the Student Council to Quwatha Smith. Item 4. I. Nancy Williams, bequeath my ability to “bang’’ on a piano to Loretta Hine; hoping she enjoys it as much as I do. Item 5. I, Shirley Yokeley, leave my ‘cosmopolitan manner’’ to Frankie Harvey and Shirley Byrd. Item 6. We, Jeanette Hunter and Bobbie Dorsett, will to Jo Ann Pope and Martha Heath our old scratchy ‘‘Parkers;’’ so that they will be able to write short-hand better next year. Item 7. To Betty Jo Dills and Barbara George we, Billie Welborn and Betty Snyder, will the privilege of ‘going steady our Senior year. Item 8. I, Phillip Matthews will my skill in aggravating the teachers to Johnny Griffin and Donnie Mabe. Don’t fall down on the job, boys! Item 9. I, Jimmy Harris, will my popular “crew cut’ to Bill Cope and Tommy Berrier. Item 10. I, Shirley Lauten, bequeath to Sylvia Glenn, my seat as President of the Beta Club. Item 11. I, Gray Kanoy, bequeath my ability to make Miss Colville laugh to Ronald Vogler and Douglas Haney. Item 12. I, Norman Head, will to G. R. Hawks, Vinson Cox, and LaVoy Austin my grandfather clock in the hope that you won't let it alarm during class time. Item 13.—We, Betty Smith and Arlene Shields, bequeath to Sari Neil Caudle and Janice Willard the privilege of receiving a diamond our Senior year. Item 14. To Betty Ann Sapp and Jo Ann Clinard I, Dorothy Moore, leave my quiet ways. Item 15. We, Magdalene Idol and Juanita Mason, will to Nancy Reavis our never ceasing height; if you promise us that any left over will be given to Carolyn Reid. Item 16.
