The editor for the year 1956-'57 was Wilton Slocum. e Volume II began gon September 22 withp the publication of an issue by a voluntary staff headed by Miss Johnson. A staff was then picked, largely from gthe journalism class, for the ensuing year, and the first issue mimeographed by the staff was released on October 15, l957., In addition to journalism students, Myrtle Hanson, John McCallum, Ervin Duppcr, and Berniece Hansen were .chosen as assistants to the staff. - '. . Ellen Espeland, was editor for the entire year and fourteen issues pwere mimeographed. The first two papers were eight pages with material on one side only, and the heading was the same as that used in the previous year. The third issue was made with folded cover so published as to comprise four.pages and two sheets, or four pages, were included .inside tthe cover. Consecutive issues were pubs lished'1n similar -manner although the title heading was changed to-an improved design for the April l issue.. . r In November the paper. became -a member of thefkuth Dakota High, School Press AsSOGiation andd two issues were sent to the High School Editor at Brookings for criticism-A The Christmas issue was published with-green heading and front pages design. It was decided that the covers should be bought ready-made with gold lettering on a blue embossed background. An advertising campaign was then organized and forty- eight ads and a professional directory were solicited, Ads were obtained from Mobridge and Mound City, as wellemsfrom Glenham.
