UGh Blest Are Theyu by Tscheikowsky and UMounta1nsY by -Rasbach were the two songs that were sung by the chorus st the district music contest held ln Mobridge, April 8 and 94 There the chorus was given s superior rating which made it eligible to pert- icipete in the State music contest bheld in Yankton, April- 22 and 25. The chorus attended the contest in Ysnkton and was given the rating of good. g GIRLS' GLEE CLUB . There were fifteen voices in the girls' glee club. In the contest at Mobridge they received an excellent rating. Their selections were: HRain' by Curran end FJune Rhapsodyu by Daniels. Due to the cold weather the hike turned out to be a partyemtEsskor Domil. All members or groups of members took part in a program after which a lunch was served. B Basket-ball was played twice a week during the winter months and at the end of the season the group divided into four teams, and intra-mural tournaments were held. During the basket-ball season the second party, was held in the gymnasium. The independents were guests. Two basket-ball games were played. The first game was between the indepen- dents and the first team. The second .game was played be- .tween the first and the second teams. ,Points may be gotten by4hLking, bicycle r1ding,slelghf ing and other sports. Espelend, and Leroy Steigeq second tenors-Robert S100um,-ADQPGW Rorgo, and Walter Haef- nerg first basses-Russell Henstrom, John McCallum, Albert Heefner, and Alvin Schlomerg and second basses - Harold Frankie, Alfred Sannes, Ervin Bohlender, and Eddie Lehnert. SMALL MUSICAL GROUPS w Members of the girls' trio were: first soprano, Elsie Lisenmeng second soprano, Minnie Eisenmang and slto,Elme Wessel. At the district music contest held in Mobridge, the girls' trio was given the rating of excellent. The selec - tions they sang were: NSleepy Hollow Tuneu by Kountz and UA Brown Bird Singingn by Wood.
