xwfl' - -4. . 'f laid Piper The precisioned Plaid Pipers Drill Team with titty high- stepping girls were outstanding representatives ot Glen- dora High in their many performances this year. Dressed in the traditional Scottish kilt, they paraded in the Azusa Golden Days celebration. At West Arcadia Band and Drill Team Review the Plaid Pipers made a fine showing. A second place was awarded to them at the Huntington Beach Parade. During football season, especially at Homecoming, the Drill Team added to the half-time activities with their drills and routines. Basketball season and the Drill Team seemed to go to- gether this year. Their colortul dance routines to popular music were a hit with all the fans. The California High School lnvitational saw the Plaid Pipers in halt-time routine competition. The climax of the year was the annual trip to the Na- tional City Parade. To prove their ability in this, they journeyed to the Pasa- dena Band Festival where they received an excellent rating. Twenty members of the concert band competed in the Pasadena Solo-Ensemble and all ot them did very Y well. V, , 1 .
