CLASS PROPHECY Alvin Way, who became famous with his best-seller, MY WAY, now has another book out that is being published by the brother tandem of Darryl and Doug Noal. THE WAY THEY ARE NOW is sure to surpass his previous book in its sales and because of its potential, we decided to give you a brief preview of it. It's a story of Alvin's classmates and their lives fifty years after their graduation. The first chapter deals with sports, and many Glendale High School grads', have achieved greatness in this area. Chuck Johns and Leland Ball are both former champion prize fighters. They met in the ring only once, but the bout ended in a draw that was voted fight of the year. Philip Cmor managed professional wrestlers Duane McNelly and Steve Potutschnig and called them the Legend of Doom. This combination of wrestlers and manager is considered the most awesome team of all time. Jack Burmeister, an All-Pro middle linebacker for the Philadelphia Eagles, and Ernie Rydbom, who broke Walter Payton's all-time rushing record and became the first man ever to run for over 25,000 yards, started a new football league. John Soucek won a gold medal in Judo during the 1992 Olympics and now does Wheaties commercials. Bill Miles played professional soccer for the New York Cosmos after helping the United States win its first World Cup. Tom Murray was named to the NBA's team of the century in the year 2000 after his great career with the Philadelphia 76ers. Just recently, a basketball team comprised of Kitty Stanton, Lori Bishop, Penny Ford, Laura Yingling, and Mary Brungo played and defeated every men's professional basketball team in the world. Roger Renninger and Bryan Foust are still fighting it out to see which of them will be the all-time oldest active baseball player. They are both 67. Also recently, Bob Greenaway, Dave Helsel, Rich Shomo, and Bob Wagner won the Coalport VFW four-man bobsledding championship. Even Joanie Bordack, Dana Dixon, and Brenda Hegarty became big names in the sports world. They are former Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. Last, but not least, Michelle Klein started a rating system of NFL quarterbacks based on looks and had it published by Scientific American. Big business is the subject for the second chapter, and when Alvin says big business he means big business. Fred Kitko is now the owner of the world famous K 81 F Wood Products. They have 207 branches, one near you. Chris Clave, who got into the world of business as a fashion photographer, travels the world with models Rhoda Ginter, Deb Lesher, and Tammy Wills. Lisa Smith and Tammy Potter are co-owners of a New York night club featuring all the top names in entertainment. Melinda Welsh, Lori Orehowski, and Barb Spade are owners of a large string of condos in southern California. Tammy Baum and Kathie Bowman now own an oil company in Dallas, Texas. Moe Lidwell owns
