CLASS HISTORY 1979-1980 The year 1979-1980 brought many changes and challenges to us. We had to adjust to the big high school and had to deal with all the fears of being initiated and with the responsibility of owning our very own lockers. We all persisted, though, and thankfully made it to the eighth grade. 1980-1981 Eighth grade found all of us a little bit wiser and slowly approaching upperclassman status. 1981-1982 Becoming Freshmen brought a bit more prestige and also many new decisions. We chose our curriculum this year and elected class officers. They were: Jack Burmeister, President, Tammy Wills, Vice-President, John Campbell, Secretaryg Mary Brungo, Treasurer, and Tom Murray, Representative-at-Large. With the help of our advisors, Mr. Sciabica and Miss Burket, we ordered class sweatshirts and jerseys and took a trip to the capitol at Harrisburg. 1982-1983 As Sophomores, we, the Class of 1985, had much to do. We ordered our blue and gold class jackets and undertook an Easter candy selling campaign with the help of our advisors, Miss Clarisse Traveny and Mr. Jack Burmeister. We elected as our class leaders: Jack Burmeister, President, John Campbell, Vice-President, Kitty Stanton, Secretary, Joe Gorman, Treasurer, and Gary Rydbom, Representative-at-Large. 1983-1984 As our Junior year arrived, we finally had the taste of being an upperclassman. We were excited about ordering our class rings and planning our prom with the theme, When l'm'With You . With the guidance of our advisors, Mr. Mitchell and Mr. Smith we selected as our officers: Jack Burmeister, President, Duane McNelly, Vice- President, Mary Brungo, Secretary, Brenda Hegarty, Treasurer, and John Campbell, Representative-at-Large. 1984-1985 We finally made it! We became Seniors, which brought much responsibility. We had many career and college choices that we had to make. With the help of our advisors, Mrs. Kathleen Adams and Mr. Richard Burmeister, we had a memorable Senior year. They helped us with our Christmas selling campaign and also helped us plan a very en- joyable and interesting class trip that we will always remember. Our class officers this year were: Jack Burmeister, President, John Campbell, Vice-President, Vicki Vereshack, Secretary, Connie Warfield, Treasurer, and John Soucek, Representative-at-Large. We, the Class of 1985, remember all of our good times and adventures here at Glendale and wish the best of luck and success to all the future graduating classes.
