Glor In ur riends were another source of glory for all of us. Whether it was having a friend or being a friend, we all experienced the glo- ry that is friendship. Our friends were the people who listened to our gripes and complaints and who shared our joys and successes. They were the ones who advised us on matters ranging from what to wear to the Prom for on who to takelj to what to do with our lives after high school. Our friends made our year at Glendale High School memorable and, more importantly, fun. We found friends all over the place and some of the friendships we formed would last forever while others ended in a few short weeks. While our peers were our most obvious friends, we could also count teachers Csome more than oth- ersj among those who really cared about us and H X., Friendships were willing to help us, laugh with us, and some- times even cry with us. And a lot of us came to realize that perhaps our best friends were rarely on the GHS campus yet played a major role in our educations. These friends-would we ever think of them as our best friends?-were the par- ents who prodded us to do homework we didn't want to do, who seemed to sometimes gang-up on us with the Dean and the teachers, and who worried about us when we were late getting home from school or a basketball game. All of our friendships had their ups and downs, but when our years at GHS are over and we've long forgotten how to use a cosine or where to find Madagascar, welll remember our friends and the antics we shared. At GHS we found a great deal of glory in our friendships! up ax X i 6 INTRODUCTION 'ii SQ

Glor In Representing Glendale High School lory at Glendale High School could also be found in representing our school. People achieved glory by proudly marching with the Glendale Band and receiving high marks for their perfor- mances. Still others hustled on the football field or on the volleyball court proudly wear- ing Glendale uniforms. For the majority of us, however, just being a part of Glendale High School was glory enough as we wore our jackets or shirts emblazoned with our school colors and emblems. Glendale was our school and we found glory by letting others know where we were from and how we felt about it. We argued with our friends from other schools over whose school was better fof course it was always ourslj, and even if we lost a few games or hit a few wrong notes, we never felt ashamed, We held our heads high and supported our school. For all of us, repre- senting Glendale High School brought glory. nv' H G J XJ am I xg? V wtf .Y W J' I N Nl 1 J llama X f Kffrlf, Cffc, f LQLLXA ti! 5 RN Us Qi' Q XJ 8 INTRODUCTION
