In these few short years Glendale has grown from a one-room schoolhouse to part of a new school district. Within the next decade Glendale High School will be a mem- ory, but the spirit and traditions of Glendale which have grown with the school will live on as they are incorporated into the new Princeton High School. The first classes at Glendale High School were held in the year of 1880. Since that day, there have been many changes, The school building has been moved, rebuilt, and then additions were made; the faculty and personnel have changed; the students have changed. These changes have taken place in other schools, but this year we have made a unique change. With the consolidation of eight school districts, Glendale and Sharon- ville High Schools have combined and are looking forward to becoming Princeton High ML Robert Lucas, who was previously affiliated with the State Department of Edue cation, is the superintendent of the consolidated school district and is working together with the new school board to provide a better school in the future. With degrees from Wilmington College and Ohio State University, and having candidacy for a doctorate degree at Ohio State University, Mr. Lucas was formerly Supervisor of the Elementary The Princeton High School will be the most advanced high school in this area. It not only will be larger but its facilities and programs will be greatly improved. New classes will be added so that a student may be prepared for any field he wishes to enter.
