LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT Glendale High School, State of North Carolina, County of Johnston. We, the Senior Class of 1955 A. D., being of unsound mind, but strong in body, realizing that our days of trouble and turmoil have almost ceased, do bestow the worldly goods listed below to our underclassmen. This property, some debits and some credits, cannot be exchanged, traded or sold during their high school years. ARTICLE I TO THE FACULTY: To Mr. Lester, who has helped us through our high school days, we leave our heartfelt devotion along with our many thanks. To Mrs. Bunn, whose help has made our ann ual possible and who has guided us throughout this Senior year, teaching and inspiring us to uphold the highest standards of life, we leave our deepest a pprec iationpand fondest memories. To Mrs. Carroll, we give and bequeath our kindest regards and sincerest graditude for the help she has given the Echo Staff and us. To Mrs. Lester, Mr. Silver, Mr. Dixon, and Mr. McClure, we leave our many thanks for the many ways they have helped us through our high school years. - ARTICLE Il To the Junior class, we leave the brillancy of our lovely class rings, since we know for a fact that ours are al- ready dull in finish, though not in affection. To the Sophomore class, we leave Mr. Silver to teach you U. S. History, hoping you will leam it as we did. To the Freshman class, we leave our talking ability and hope they make as much use of it as we have. ARTICLE Ill Priscilla Boyette donates to Judith Boykin, her tiny feet and sweet disposition. Hilda Renfrow bequeaths her talent and typing ability to Joan Batten. Ronald Lee Narron wills his school bus to any one who can drive fast enough to get to school on time. Margaret Atkinson leaves her pretty clothes to Martha Stancil and Jo Godwin. H. A. Pittman leaves his talent for talking in class and looking perfectly innocent to E. V. Hodge. Joan Hare wills her witty ways and ability to hold her tongue to Shirley Cooper and Janice Davis. Coy Batten leaves his cuteness and dependability to W. J. Johnson. Emily Pope bequeaths her intelligence and title, Editor of the Glen-Cedo , to any one who is worthy of it. Billy Carroll Whitley, leaves his flirty ways to Clovis Boykin, Jr. Evelyn Atkinson leaves her sweet manner and athletic ability to Evelyn Jones and Betty Faye Creech. Paul Boyette, Jr. bequeaths his way with the girls and muscles-to-haul-coal to Speck Pope. Elgie Weaver bequeaths her ability to love only one boy to Louise Narron. Clifton Stancil wills his weakness for all the cute girls and his ability to speak French to Bobby Parker. Linda Brannan leaves her happy ways and congenial personality to Martha Bunn and Jeanette Morgan. Eugene Cockrell bequeaths to Billy Narron his quite sunny disposition. Luby Narron leaves his noisey ways and ability to skip school to Worth Narron and J. W. Lewis. Joe Sasser leaves his ability to play a piano like Liberace to Jo Ann Radford. Vester Renfrow leaves his crew cut and sneaky ways to James Godwin. Ha ro l d Pa rr i sh bequeaths his ability to play basketball and to make hook shots from the center line to James Ruffin Hocutt and Shorty Stancil. Ralph Hill leaves his good looks and his pretty black hair to Billy Wall Boyette Bobby Gardner wills his Wardrobe of nice clothes to W. J. Johnson and Jackie Stancil . Donald Johnson leaves his school bus and seat in the office to any one who can get it. Faye Renfrow leaves her good looks and ability to have fun to Edith Brown and Barbara Creech.
