English Ill classes studied the birth and growth of American literature from Emerson to Steinbeck and Dickenson to e. e. cummings. Pupils in the English Ill classes inspected and investigated the distinctive world of American literature. English IVL gave a greater insight into self-ex- pression as it pertains to English literature. Through research papers, reports, and class discussion the panorama of literature unfolded for the students in IVL. ,Composition and mechanics of the language were taught in the English IVC classes.
