Administrotors cope with school enrollment The job of coping with the problems of a school of 2,160 students belonged to Glendale's four administrators, Mr. James E. Ford, principal, Mr. Harold Deiker, assistant principal, Mrs. Dee Mahan and Mr. Russel King, administrative assist- ants, One of Mr. Ford's largest tasks was scheduling the record enrollment into classes. This problem was complicated by the fact that the faculty was also the largest in Glendale's history. Some teachers changed classrooms as often as students. Mr. Deiker, among other important duties as assistant principal, took an active part in the pro- duction of Glendale's assemblies. Mr. King and Mrs. Mahan worked individually with the boys and girls respectively. Special dis- cipline problems and cases of student illness, along with sponsoring clubs filled their day. Right. During lunchtime, Mr. Deiker and Mrs. Spencer find time to talk casually-a rarity in the day's busy schedule. Vx James E. Ford Harold Deiker l P'lf'ClPUl Assistant Principe Wa 19' ri'

Counselors odvise inquiring students On the counseling staff, Mr. Paul Moore, Mr. Wilbur Brill, Miss Beverly Black, and Mrs. Mildred Green worked individually with each student and provided him with special attention, advice, and encouragement during his years at Glendale. Each of these four counselors remains with a single class from its first day at Glendale through its graduation. By spending four years with the one class which they sponsor, the counselors are able to form a closer relationship with each mem- ber of their classes, understanding their individual personalities, attitudes, and ambitions. Through personal conferences and the evalua- tion of tests the counselors assist students with their choices of courses, colleges, and vocations. .ati-Ri ogg:- os...- ......sq .Hind lieu: Moore Wilbur Brill ei O C-OU se Sopltomo e Counselo Right.
