Counselors Advise classes Guiding each generation of students through four years of high school, the administrative assistants took the responsibility of counseling one class from entrance to graduation. Working diligently through- out the year, each counselor gave special attention, advice, and encouragement to each of the members in the class he sponsored. Acquiring the youngest set of Falcons with the procedures of high school life was freshman coun- selor Mr. Wilber Brill. Guiding the actions and future plans of second year students was the task of sophomore counselor Miss Beverly Black. Advising juniors on schedules and college selec- tions, Mrs. Mildred Green prepared students for their last year in high school. Working in close relationship with seniors, Mr. Paul Moore gave individual attention to specific in- terests and aided in college selection. is - ...A-.Yi -- - . .325-ErfQ're of e , J M. -f. it 'N Q ? it ...L Administration Visits with pupils Engaged in the activities of the Deputy Superin- tendent, Dr. Joe Kuklenski combined the necessary leadership and abilities with a friendly smile and oc- casional visits to the Glendale student body. His position, added to the administration staff for the first time this year, included the responsibilities of co-ordinating and directing the educational programs of the school district. He also assisted the selection of staff members and supervised the development of long range planning of the educational program. Holding the position of Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education, Dr. A. M. Alexander worked in a close relationship with members of the School Board, Dr. Graff, and Dr. Kuklenski. His schedule included, among administrative duties, visits to the various high schools to work with the principals on important issues involving student activities and regu- lations. Visiting at Glendale throughout the year offers Dr. joe Kuklen ski, Deputy Superintendent, a chance to enter the routine life of high school students. Q 1 e I 1l Il , x .-...... Brewer, city-wide Science Co-ordina- tor, Mr. james Ford, Glendale principalg Dr. A. M. Alex- ander, Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Education, Mr. Bill Gist, Hillcrest principal, Dr. Joe Kuklenski, Deputy Superintendent, Mr. Ralph Hamilton, Central principal, and Mr. Fred Balden, Parkview principal. Glendale senior Martha Mitchell fsecond from leftj partici- pates in Teen Talk, a monthly panel show which recently won the Golden Mike award presented by the American Legion Auxiliary to broadcasts that promote juvenile decency.
