Previously, Dr. Alexander served as a classroom teacher at the elementary, secondary and college levels, as principal of elementary and secondary schools, as a superintendent of schools, and as the Director of Cur- riculum for the Springfield school system. His depth of understanding and appreciation of the many problems of education and his professional approach in working with both lay and professional people contribute to his effectiveness as an educational leader.
