'Enter and sign in please In the beginning there was registration-and what an im- portant week it was. lt marked the beginning of the school year as the first real activity of that year. lt was the beginning of a year which would witness in the course of time, the election of a new U.S. President, the important Apollo Space Program, the World Series, and several dozen other events in the world's continuing parade of history. During the summer, Glendale High, like any normal high school was in a state of hibernation like a bear with his seasons crossed. Then in late August, things came to life. Glendale High pre- pared for registration. All of the stu- dents were mailed a letter designating a day and time to register. These students below, are seen go- ing through the paces of registration. Their first stop is Mrs. Armstrong who is shown preparing some forms to fill out in triplicate please . When the red tape is finished, they will go on to the bookstore to receive their school books. S. 2 13 :tis-Bfgitaiu va, .' It was a beginning for Glendale students also. After their first meeting with the counselors, the freshmen looked ahead to four years of challenge, the sophomores rejoiced as they rose above freshmen status, the iuniors planned ahead for a year burdened with activities, and seniors contemplated their last year of high school life and the roads that lie ahead. Senior Pam Decker talks with coun- selor Mr. Branson during registration. The counselors form an important part of the school function. They provide advice and guidance for the students and help them make important decisions for the school year, and years to come. A. rn- . y f 5 I, , 7 t I v f 1. l A a
