Welcome . . . The 1966 CARDINAL staff, the faculty, and the student body of Glendale High 6 School wish to welcome Mr. John Irwin as the new principal of Glendale High. It is not easy for a new principal to adjust to the set ways of an old, and tradition-filled school, but Mr. Irwin has done an admirable job of adjusting. With his warm personality and fast-paced ideas and programs, he has had no trouble in gaining the respect and friendship of the students and faculty alike. The future of Glendale High School looks good,'and with Mr. Irwin at the controls, its success is assured. r. Irwin The 1966 CARDINAL will be a source of pleasure for you now and in the years to come. It will be a way for you to recall the friendships, the activities, and the ac- complishments in your school for 1965-66. For many students, especially seniors, it will be a means to see the changes that have taken place. These changes in buildings, programs, and staff are important but not as important as the individual changes in students going on constantly. Hopefully, Glendale High is here to give each of you a chance to know and to under- stand yourself and then use this knowledge to change and to grow. As you are enjoying this fine annual, ask yourself if you are using or have used Glendale High for the most desirable changes and growth in you. 4
