The laser beam is a modern innovation which can be used to cut or burn through hard substances. It is only one of the various new discoveries which may some day play an im- portant part in space flight and exploration. High school students also need instruments and tools to help them study harder and learn more. Drafting and carpentry tools are used- in a class where skill and careful planning work to- gether to create better and more perfect re- sults. Still, the greatest tools that either astronauts or students can use are clear thinking and an alert mind. A Successful Future - In Space And On Earth - Requires Training 3, , One of the important facets of a high-school educa- tion is the physical training taught to the students. Whether it is weightlifting, doing push-ups, or gym- nastics, the result is the same-improved physical well- being. You might agree that the astronauts should under- go physical training, but why you as a high school stu- dent. It's true that this is an age of advanced learning, in which intellectual knowledge receives top priorityg but it is also an age that is so accelerated that you must be in good physical condition to keep pace. 7
