THIS PUBLICATION of the 1962 Cardinal Yearbook marks the fiftieth anniversary of the foundation of Glendale High School. This year also marks a milestone in the history of Glendale High School in that the last remnant of the original school will be replaced with a new structure. We hope that this new structure will uwitnessw and symbolize for the next fifty years the growth, loyalty, and learning that the old School witnessedi' and symbolized for the first half century. MR. THE STUDENTS and staff of Glendale High School can take justifiable pride in the fine traditions that have been established and maintained during the half-century of Glen- dale High,s existence. During this period the facilities and curriculum have been greatly expanded to provide for increased enroll- ments and the diverse educational needs of students. Standards of scholarship and citizen- ship have remained high. The success of Glen- dale High graduates in professional and busi- ness fields reflects the effectiveness of their schooling.
