Q f 7 -,Q V Q if: Z FACULTY GEARED TO RUN SCHOOL EFFICIENTLY High Academic Training Stressed Under the direction of Dr. Watson, the GB faculty grew to 100 teachers cmd specialists this year. Seven doctorates, 59 MA. degrees, with the others holding BS. or BA. degrees, many with additional work, provide a capable staff ot well-trained instructors. Glenbrook is participating in a six-point ex- perimental training program this year that shows the restless seeking of the administrators and teachers for better ways of serving the educational needs of the community. The Math Department is undertaking, as are the English and Science Departments, ex- periments with large classes of 60 or more students. New techniques and special audio- visual devices are being tried as another ex- periment. A para-professional teacher is prov- ing successful in working with the science classes and study halls. Other advancements include special fresh- man and sophomore English proficiency tests that show the students their exact progress, after which make-up work for deficiencies is provided. Several accelerated courses have been introduced in math, science, and English classes. ff X 'Qu Fifi X X 5. gr sawir QSEQQ, . X f ,yy V 4. ,f ' - c f
