ltlltfllt ISTH Tlllt Although the figures of Principal Biester and head janitor Hans are used to scare the small brothers and sisters of Glenbard stu- dents, they and their assistants have an im- portant function to perform in keeping Glen- bard at the top' . Administration and upkeep are included in several departments, the of- fgce staff, the heads of various departments, the school board, and a staff of janitors. The school board is composed of a presi- dent and six members elected by the public. The board formulates the general policies of the school and hires a principal to see that they are carried out. They decide important questions and of course control the ex- cheauer. The president of the board for the past year was Mr. Gilford H. Hill. The other members of the board were Mrs. Helene Mor- gan, Mrs. Marjorie lorgeson, Mr. Ray C. Carl- son, Mr. A. O. Osterling, and Mr. Alvin M. Glahn. vivffblqzl The actual administration of the school is carried on by a principal, an assistant princi- pal, and an office staff. Principal Fred L. Bies- ter is in charge ofthe school and is responsible for it to the school board. He is assisted by Miss Ruth McLean, the assistant principal. The office force takes care of the innumerable de- tails necessary in the daily routine and busi- ness of a high school such as correspondence, attendance, etc. This year's office staff was composed of Mrs. Frances Kay, the only vet- eran, Miss Ruth Scull, and Miss Elsie Krall. Miscellaneous other secretaries held positions during the year, but they seemed to resign as fast as Mr. Biester could sign them up. Keeping Glenbard clean is the responsibil- ity of the janitors under the able direction of that delectable old ogre, Hans'l Hansen. The janitors include lohn Feid, Dick Cfilstrap, Frank Metzner, Albie Albue, lMac Mac- Williams, and the chief himself, Hans Han- sen. Office Staff-Miss 'Elsie Krall, Miss Ruth Scull Mrs Frances Kay. Board of Education- Mr, Gilford H. Hill president Mr. Alvin M. Glahn Mrs Helene Morgan Mrs. Mar- jorie Iorgeson, Mr. Ray C. Carlson Mr. George D. Miller
