The high iump was a strong event with Paul Carroll and Ralph Sigmund nearing the 6' mark. Steve Sackinger, who had the most strength in the field events, reached the 56' in the shot put. Pole Vaulters were always up a pole, lunging over the high bar at about 12 feet.

They look to be C.I.F. contenders at mid-season. Kevin Moore and Mark Harris held down the catching duties. Dave Trinkle, Doug Burns, Terry Baptista, and Bob Baumer had terrific performances on the mound. The infield was led by Tim Stordahl, Al Gomez, Mark Spatz, and Albert Torres. Dave Smith, Chuck Cioleri, Jim Galbraith, backed by Peter Beattie, Angel Figeroa and Doug Millen worked hard in the outfield. Coaches Fred Long and Ernie Yarborough are pleased with the hitting ability of the team. The maior hitters are Chuck Cioleri, Al Gomez and Mark Spatz. Most of the runs this year were brought in by third baseman, Ed Vanbrabant.
