ASSEMBLY COMMITTEE - ln Front: Adriana Piedrahita. Left to Right: Ida Garay, Pam Campbell. Going to assemblies this year was iust like tuning in the T.V. For takeoffs on the gameshows Name That Tune and Almost Anything Goes, were the most exciting and popular, along with the communist, Kung Fu and Hypnotist assemblies. MECHA - Front Row, L to R: Annette Tarin, Diana Melgoza, Estella Estevez, Michelle Archuletto, Virginia Rios, Becky Ramirez, and Arlene Rios. Back Row, L to R: Monica Mendoza, Debbie Velarde, Debbie Holguin, Lorianna Sainz, Laura Mena, and Agnes Martinez. The purpose of M.E.C.H.A. iMovimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlanl is for further understanding about Chicano history and Chicano community events. This year M.E.C.H.A. began with goals to sponsor a scoreboard for our soccer team out on the football field, to continue the M.E.C.H.A. newspaper Los Gritos, and to make a mural of Mexican Culture.

Clubs Guide Wa To Future ELECTRONICS - The Electronics Club is an outlet for students who have an interest in Electronics. It helps the active members to learn about opportunities in electronics as a vocation. Mr. Pierce, the club advisor, occasionally makes plans for the members to visit the big electrical industries to learn more about amateur radio and to see how electronics play an important part in industries. Any interested student is eligible to ioin. The attending members are Left to Right: Leonard Andrads, Rick Hines, Jim Kimmick. 2nd: Bruce McChesney, Jeff Shiflet, Jim Henson, and Mr. Pierce. C.S.F. - The California Scholastic Foundation at Wilson is advised by Mr. Kelly. This club is for students who have fulfilled a minimum grade point average requirement of 3.5. Students in this club are entitled to early registration and it also qualifies them for certain scholarships. Through the year they attended a regional conference, Honors Day at UCLA, UCLA-Oregon State game, trips to Disneyland and a privilege day.
