Interested in bettering relations between students and the business community, the students in F. B. L.A. worked hard this year to fulfill their goal. Even though it is a young club, F.B.L.A. has proved to be one of the most important and most active clubs at Glen Rose.,Through money mak- ing projects - selling glitter plaques, Bea- ver stickers, etc. , they were able to raise money for their many service projects. Among some of the services that high- lighted this year were: Participating in the Western Hat Day at the Benton State Hos- pital, Hypertension Screening held in Malvern and the nearby communities, a Christmas Party for the patients at the Benton State Hospital, and the annual March-of-Dimes Walk-a-Thon. Some of the members entered District and State Contest in Business courses and came back with high honors. The club was also honored to have Susan Hoffman installed as District Secretary. French Club The French Club is a small but active club at Glen Rose High. The members share a common interest in the French language, people, and customs of France. They held a party for the patients at a nearby nursing home , went to the Foreign Language Festival at Fayette- ville , and tried different kinds of French gf' foods during their meetings. Future Homemafcers offdmerfca The purpose of FHA is to promote a growing appreciation of the joys and satisfactions of homemaking. The club is the largest in the school. Their projects and activities include: selling Stanley Products for a money making pro- X ject. going to the Federation meeting. an April Fool's Supper, FHA Week, the State Convention at Little Rock, the Mother-Daughter Banquet and the Sweetheart Banquet.
