QQ Q. There are many solutions for improving our schools. Change itself does not always mean improvement. we like to be modern, of course, and there are many formu- las for modernization. Many things were modern in edu- cation only a few years ago. Now, it is questionable if they ever had in value in the first place. A thing may look good or please the eye, yet in the long run it pro- duces no real results and has no practical value. One objective that we can be sure has been tried and tested is that of striving for thoroughness. Thor- oughness is indispensibleg it is sought by all profes- sions, businesses and in all walks of life, it is inex- pensive, and it will ever be modern. When we have ac- quired thoroughness, we can be sure that we have what only the better schools can give, Although our school is not blessed with wealth, we have the school children, the buildings, a nine month term of school, and text books and teachers. Let us use our resources. If we do not possess thoroughness, let us acquire it.
