The Band this year has come a long way. It is working itself to the top with hard work and perseverance. During the year the band has gone to various concerts and band festivals and also has presented five concerts. Some mem- bers of the band went to a Solo and Ensemble Festival with Glen Lake making a very good showing. Receiving a num- ber one rating for their performances was Paul Binsfeld who also went on to the regional and state festivals and re- ceived a number one rating. Those receiving a number two rating for their performances were Sue Binsfeld and Beth Meteer in a flute duet; Rhoda Lemmen and Allan Jankow- ski in a comet duet; John Greenan, Rose Barczak, and Mary Jo Bolton in a clarinet trio; Rhoda Lemmen in a cor- net solo; Karen Jakielek in a baritone solo. Sue Binsfeld received a number three rating in a flute solo. Paul received his number one rating on a french horn. Lin- da Stachnik was the accompanist for most of the performers. 23
