We Speak the Linqua At the beginning of school, the newspaper staff held a contest to rename our paper. Janet Deering submitted the winning title, Lingua which means expression of thoughts. Her prize was a pink and white tissue corsage and a necklace proclaiming her Newspaper Title Winner. 14

Drama Club Sparks Interest The picture above shows the newly formed Drama Club of Glen Lake. Their one production, Run, Robber, Run, proved to be a great success. The stars of the play were Walt Ransom, Dan Harriger, Judy Peplinski, Jackie Laskey, Sally Patterson, Chet Salisbury, Cliff McClain, Diane Harriger, Beatrice Hounsell, Joyce McMillian, and Linda Peppier. Mr. Sweeny and Miss Brammer directed the production. The pictures below show scenes from the play.
