Chet Salisbury and Sandra Holds share a laugh with Ida Bijkersma and John Hutchinson. Exchange Students Gave fest and Glamour to Our Way of Living — For the first time, Glen Lake High had a truly international flavor this year Ida Bij- kersma, exchange student from the Nether- lands attended all year as a senior. Ida was a popular speaker at many local affairs and lent her charms to all school events. She was the guest of her American family, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Holds of Empire. John Hutchinson of Mexico City only stayed for two months but the freshman class became much better informed about our Latin American neighbors. In turn, John was de- lighted to see snow, and keenly enjoyed winter sports. John was the guest of Chet Salisbury of Empire. 26
