Assured of a tie for the Cherr land Conference Championship, the Lakers are looking for more success in tournament competition. The Lakers opened the season with a ij.9—37 win over Kingsley. They met a tough Buckley team and dropped the second came by 69-63. Glen Lake moved over to Suttons ay and dropped a heart breaker in an overtime 50-1'.?. The Lakers took St. harys of Lake Leelanau, lk Rapids, Holy Rosary, Korthport, and Leelanau Schools for decisive wins. The game of the year was with Suttons Bay on the Lakers home court, when the Lakers trailed by 6 points going into the final quarter, they held the Bay to 3 points and pushed 10 fieldooals through the net for themselves. We wish the Lakers continued success for the comminn years of the r.ewlv consolidated Glen Lake Community High School.
