May naught mar the joy of our fellowship here. May none remain lonely and hungry of heart among us. Let none go hence without the joy of new friendships. Give us more capacity for love and a richer consciousness of being loved. Overcome our coldness and reserve, that wemay throw ajar the gates of our heart and keep open house this day. WILLIAM DUMBACHER it? :0: . r . uh Ll thoughts from Jrhe class of '71 - this is not the end. ii is noi even he beginning of Jrhe end. ii is rather, the end of the beginning. WINSTON CHURCHILL I96 +he ediior's refleciions . . . Graduation is only a few weeks away and as time draws near. I find myself looking back at all the great times I've had during my four years here at Glen Este. I think of all my friends and the many wonderful experiences we've been through together - the times we've laughed - the times we've cried, I think of teachers, counselors and administrators who have been more than what their title implies. They have been true friends to me and they have helped shape me into what I am today. I look at all the clubs I've belonged to and I begin to see how important they've been to me. My greatest responsibilities in school were in two of these organizations - Student Council and Annual Staff. Being a Student Council Representative was a great challenge and I learned so much from it. For two years I have been editor of this annual and there were times when prices, photographers. decisions, and deadlines got so hectic I just felt like giving up, but I ean honestly say I have enjoyed every minute of it. I also think of all the last activities of my senior year - the last football and basketball game, the last Homecoming Week, the last Student Council meeting, the last school bus ride and most of all the last Awards Day. When that day finally comes, I know I won't be able to sit through it without crying my heart out. No one will ever know the pride and love 1 have for this school. It's the greatest school ever, and God bless Mr. Tipton and Mr. Kaffenberg and everyone else who helped make it that way. To my parents - the two most wonderful people in the world - thank you for everything. You've been a blessing to me in more ways than you '11 ever know. In Closing, I'd like to say that these past four years have been the greatest years of my life and I'll cherish the memories for- ever. I'll never forget Glen Este or the people associated with it as long as I live. May God bless you all. 1141 w Jill Abbott Editor-in-Chief PMM' '9 CJf'Cqu awjn CaoaA ch Q Jkyfg $tcxr wtimn amt QSIRytrh Cia'iSU.
