Theff umd mem DEDICATIUN We, the Senior Class of 1945, respectfully dedicate the 1945 edition of The Gold and Black to Coach Hampton and his undefeated football team of 1944. The record which they have achieved is one of which all may be proud, for it refiects teamwork, good sportsmanship, and loyalty. This victory completes Coach Hampton's fourth year as coach of the Bearcats of Glen Elder High, and this school feel.s very fortunate to have had such a well-qualified athletic trainer during these four seasons.

rme57 7.um..m mmm FEJREWCJRD The senior class of 1945 desires to pay tribute to the Safeguards of Our Democracy, and has tried to do so by giving a brief explanation of each branch of the service on the division pages that follow. To all the men and women who are giving so much for the protection of us and our ideals-wthe soldiers on the battlefields. the sailors on the sea, the marines on land and sea, the men guarding our coastline, the flyers protecting us in the skies, the maritime service supplying the fight- ers with munitions and supplies, the gallant nurses Hghting to save the lives of our men on foreign soil and at home, all the women in the service Working with and replacing these men, and the auxiliary services giving aid and comfort to all the services at all times--we respectfully pay sincere tribute. 1 .. - qudllllllg Q:
