irunieff ailmd :miami JUNIUIPEENIUR BANCIUET The members of the Junior Cls ss were hosts to the Seniors, the fac- ulty, and the Board of Eduction at a beautiful and elaborate banquet in the grade school social room on Wednesday evening, May 2. The affair was semi-formal, and each guest was presented with ,a gay-colored hat by the reception committee when he arrived. The theme of the banquet was centered around the Armed Forces. Clever streamers hung from the ceiling and red, white, and blue bells dec- ora ted the lights. The tables were arranged to form an airplane. Centir g each table was a miniature landing strip with tiny airplanes. The combin- ation nut cups and place cards were also red, white, and blue. Patriotic and comic posters were fastened on the walls. Marjorie Anderson, Junior Class president and toastmistress, wel- comed the Seniors to the Banquet. Bob Terry, Senior Class president, gave the response. The delicious dinner consistirg offruitjuice, meat loaf, mashed potatoes, gravy, buttered beets, hot rolls, celery, radishes, carrot strips, ice cream, angel food cake, and coffee, was prepared by the mothers of the Juniors, the girls of the foods class served. The invited guests included the members of the Senior and Junior Classes, Supt. H. O. Sutcliff, Coach H. D. Hampton, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Morris, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Clover, Mrs. Harold Taylor, Miss Ruth Butts, Miss Vera Pearl McDonald, Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Brunnemer, Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Thomasson, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Shoemaker, and Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Wiss.
