Includ ing County and District Tournament games, the first team played twen ty-one during the season, winning fifteen and losing six. As the season pro gressed, two of the boys dropped out. In the County League Glen Elder and Simpson tied for first. The County Tournament was held at Glen Elder. The Bearcats won first place by defeating Beloit Reserves and Simpson. In the District Tournament held at Downs the Bearcats won over Har lan and were defeated by Athol in the finals. In the Regional at Beloit the Bearcats were defeated by Mankato the first ni ght. A record-breaking crowd of friends and sports lovers numbering nearly 200 attended the banquet. The dinner Was prepared and served by the ladies of the Methodist Church.
