At the beginning of the year 23 boys reported to Coach Hampton for practice. During the first part of the second half in the Osborne game, Max Eberle had the misfortune to break his leg, and was unable to play the rest of the year. The Saturday night following the Osborne game Robert Hardesty was in an automobile accident, and he was also unable to play. Everal Thurston had to drop out on account of physical disabilities. The record speaks' for itself in telling how the Bearcats played this sea- son. All the boys know that they would not have had an undefeated season had they not cooperated fully with each other and with the coach. A record-breaking crowd of friends and sports lovers numbering nearly 200 attended the banquet. The dinner Was prepared and served by the ladies of the Methodist Church.
