DEDICATION ... DALE ZURBRICK For seven of his nine years in the Glen Cove School District, most of the class of 1985 has known Mr. Dale Zurbrick. When we moved up from Middle School to the high school, Mr. Zurbrick took the same step. Our teacher, director, and friend joined us to enhance our high school lives as he had in Middle School. We first met Z , as he is called by students, in the Glen Cove Middle School Drama Club. We were his Broadway Babies in the longest show in history. After several other productions and a lot of hard work and fun, we began work on our eighth grade show, Runaways. Participants have great memories of rehearsals, last minute choreography, and performances. When Z came to the high school, his dedication didn't stop. Aside from teaching music history, music theory, and chorus, he has involved himself outside of the classroom. Z prepares students for NYSSMA competitions and All-County, All-State, and national choirs. He also directed our senior musical, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. It is difficult to find teachers as funny, nice, hard-working, inspirational, and truly interested in their students. You have been a wonderful part of our school career, Z. Thanks so much, and we're going to miss you! 19
