Science can be very fascinating and intriguing. lVe learn the fundamental structures of matter, acquaint- ing us with new and varied ideas. Experimental appli- cation of these ideas is intensive. Science draws awav from the ordinary mode of liv- ing. XVe learn to utilize ourselves. This is achieved bv applying the knowledge we have gained during our pre- vious years to problems, theories, and questions con- tained in science. Hlhen we become more familiar with science, we find that we do not use textbooks entirely but perform experiments and make observations. Fun- damentals studied are utilized each dav of our life. XVe can learn to act only after reaching a conclusion based on information available. And we can learn to examine prejudices and superstitious in the searching light of information made available through science. The methods and materials are already in our hands. XVe can live more fullv and more intelligently only bv using them. Looking toward the future we can be as- sured that through some of us science can and will serve man. i ax 'Qc llon't thev like people to Hell wait until he finds some merm11ds NIR. The way we use our present knowledge and the ever increasing knowledge acquired through the years will determine how well we succeed. The origin of our tration and the problems en- countered by it are conceived from our study of United States ,history and Problems of Denroeracy, Through the study of world history, we become better acquainted with countries whose government and ways of life are different from our own. This section we reserve for our math teachers, who try to help us have a better understand- ing of one of our more difficult subjects. Out of the pages of our math books our teachers bring forth to us a lesson which is most vital and necessary in the world of today. In every thing we do we need our basic fundamentals of math. IVhether it be from counting our change from the local store or to making blue- prints for a building, math is still necessary. Now that our world is extending into a new field of space we need a great deal of advanced math. Our math teach- ers see this and, by their profession, are willing to teach the coming generations. From mathematical terms to formulas to theories we will go forward into the world prepared for greater things. fm. f -if f f x 'Mr-w 'D' g .W -M-...-........,, There must be a mistake in the answer book.
