Again today. another theme? Our second and most important book in our Li- brary of Knowledge is the foundation for the study of the hooks to come. Our ability to read and compre- hend is put to the test everyday we live in our studies and in our recreation. Students are given general strengthening in their grammar and are introduced to new literature in their sophomore year while more ad- vanced studies of American and English literature are undertaken by the juniors and seniors respectively. Aca- demic students taking foreign languages depend heavi- ly upon their knowledge of English grammar for an easier comprehension ol' the fundamentals of those languages. When students complete their high school education, their culture and intellectual, ability reflect greatly their accomplishments in English and present themselves as large determining factors in their search lor success and happiness.
