Mum? : Q o o o o o o o o o ..9nzlexfo.j6wwLalge The future of any student depends greatly upon his faculty and the way in which they in- terpret and teach what is written in the text- books. The faculty adds much to our library of knowledge. In our library of knowledge we have learned of the past, are being taught the pres- ent, and are predicting the future. Throughout our school days we did not obtain this knowl- edge alone, but rather we were guided and taught by our skilled faculty. Our faculty is very much adept to working with students and there- fore are able to comprehend almost any situa- tion that may arise. Our teachers are known to give of their per- sonal time and efforts to help us, the students, in all of our problems, whether they be large or small. We also learn many useful things from the experiences which they relate to us. From these close contacts and experiences we may observe fine character traits to cultivate within ourselves. The student also needs motivation and while some may realize he is helping himself by learn- ing, many do not, and so the teacher supplies this motivation. To interest the students curi- osity, the teacher trys to promote his interest as much as possible by carefully preparing inter- esting, plus valuable lessons. There comes a time in a student's school life when his faculty will lay down the textbook and take up social activities to laugh and work with us. Some day our faculty will proudly watch us go forth to contribute what we have learned, as- sured that we are the results of a job well done and that we can take our place in society as helpful, useful and honest citizens.

FOREWORD XVe the Le Souz'enz'r staff, present to you the class of 1960, the Library of Knowledge. As you turn these pages, you will realize the invaluable contribution your library can make to your future life. This will depend greatly on how much you have profited from your acquaintance with the library. Although there are several aspects of the library to consider, an important one to remember is the under- standing of people that is gained from reading a book. By the application of knowledge received from this book, we become more mature and more adept to living easily with our fellow man. Even though the book will be returned to its companions, you take with yo11 the fruits of that acquaintance to enrich and inspire. Each of us will obtain a different amount of knowl- edge. Those who strive to acquire more knowledge shall receive many rewards which probably will not be shown immediately. Since our future is so vitally im- portant, the forbearance of this learning will begin to shine through in later years when its need is definitely more apparent. Therefore it is necessary that we visu- alize the prime importance when we refer to the Li- brary of Knowledge. By our desire to increase in wis- dom, we reach a higher plateau in the library's shelves of knowledge. Fortunately, we have a bountiful and spacious li- brary wherein to delve. Here we may supplement the knowledge gained in our classes and widen our hori- zons. In the confines of its multi-colored covers we may find a veritable treasure. Our library has every resource one can use. There- fore, if we utilize the library's resources intelligently, one can acquire more steadfast work habits that will benefit us enormously in our post-graduation years. The Library of Knowledge continues throughout our life as we learn a small amount and each day as we increase in wisdom, we shall realize that the Li- brary of Knowledge is increasing. 5
