This club, Too, presenTed an excellenT assembly program. ln addiTion, The ArT Club, The DramaTic Club, and The Glee Club have helped To malae school liTe more enjoyable. Many oT us Took parT in The operaTTa, T-lulda oT Holland, presenTed by The Glee Club. The soccer season resulTed in The CounTy Championship Tor Glen Burnie. AnoTher accomplishmenT oT This year was The senior play Miss Nellie oT N'Orleans, coached by Miss DiTman. AT The close OT This year, we Tound ThaT we, as Juniors, were deTailed To TreaT The seniors To Their annual picnic. This year recalls To our minds pleasanT memories OT our Junior T'lop, ancl The Senior Class Day. Seniors as lasT! ATTer Three years, we were Tinally nearing our goal. IT was This year ThaT we had To accusTom ourselves To The diTTiculT problems oT acTing as ex- amples Tor The underclassmen. ' i i i l The Teachers on whose abiliTy our success as seniors depended were: Miss Bacha- rach, Miss DiTman, Miss Cromwell, Mr. ClayTon and Mr. OTTO. ATTer having chosen Mr. ArmsTrong as adviser and elecTing The senior class oTFicers, our TirsT diTTiculT Task was To choose The sTaTT oT our yearboolc, LE SOUVENIR. WiTh Junior l-losTord, as EdiTor-in-ChieT, we began To organize our yearboolc. The GLEN BURNIAN was our nexT big worry. We Tound ourselves very much in The red. By hard work and excellenT cooperaTion, we made The paper a greaT success. The senior play, The Rivals, under The direcTion oT Miss Bacharach, proved ThaT we had aT lasT shown some oT our abiliTy. In fhis year we were divided info lhree separafe groups in fhree differenf localifies: Broolc- lyn Park, Linfhicum, and Glen Burnie-lhose af Glen Burnie having fhe privilege of enfering a new high school. Our able insfrucfors for our Freshman year were: Mr. Offo, fhe lafe Mr. Baumgardner, Miss Van Sanf. Miss Kelbaugh, Miss Revelle, Miss Shipley, Mr. Van Melre, and Mr. Cissel. Despife fhe handicap of being divided, we became well-acguainfed wifh one anofher fhrough compefifion in afhlefic acfivifies. Thus our year was spenf-The pupils forming friendships which would aid fhem laler in high school acfivifies. There was much excilemenf among fhe resl of us in fhe prospecf of seeing The new Glen Burnie High School and meeling all our fufure associafes, Once again fhe Senior class gave a parfy af Chrisfmas for fhe enfire school. If was fhis year fhaf fhe school journal, THE GLEN BURNIAN. was esfablished. Many of our classmafes offered fheir humble assisfance as reporfers. As fhe year drew fo a close, we found ourselves one sfep nearer our goal. As Juniors we had much before us. Several of us were very acfive on fhe school newspaper. lf was fhis year fhaf many of our clubs were originafed. Mr. Armsfrong and Miss Difman organized a French Club, which has been very acfive and has presenfed 25
