PROPHECY The adventure feature of the week was about 4 Australian ranchers: Marlowe Farris, Rick Wise, Lonnie Moses, and Wayne Crawford. Their story was written by world traveler and adventuress, Sherry Francum. Education had progressed by the help of Dr. Mary Ellen Baxter, renowned expert on child guidance. Professor Robert Bryant of Yale had completed another speaking tour in Europe. The National Association of Educators had picked the following high school teachers for their contributions in their fields: Terecia Mulwee, Algebra; and Warren Scott, Geography and Economics. The entertainment scene was brightened by the night club, “Soul Shack,” operated by Tommy Carpenter. Singing to a packed audience, the Sundowners were Marva Poole, John Cantrell, and Martha Fullwood. Their songs were high on the charts of WMNY where discs were spun by Michael Bennett, Ethel Davis, and Dale Keller, the talkative trio. The favorite T.V. show seemed to be “Gene and Rusty” starring Gene Hallyburton. Next in ratings was the morning exercise show, “Keeping Trim,” with push-ups led by Angie Vance. My flight was announced so I hastened to the plane. Ahead of me I recognized two members of the jet set, Sarah Morgan, and David Gwyn, a playboy on the Riviera. They were whisked into the V.I.P. lounge. At the plane’s door I was in for another shock when the stewardesses turned out to be Barbara Huffman, Lee Benfield, Barbara McMahan, and Kay Patton. I was shown my seat and we started to rehash old times when the pilot’s voice boomed over the loud speaker. It was the voice of Steve Henson. | felt a tap on my shoulder. Turning around I saw Kathy Pollard, Lorraine Baker, Margie Pritchard, and Brenda Stillwell all with their husbands. It seems that they were returning from second honeymoon trips to Europe. I settled back in the seat with a feeling of satisfaction. My school class had fulfilled all my anticipation. Chery] Pitts 27
