Under the direction of Miss Martha Thomasson, the band has given demonstrations of precision playing and marching at all five conference games played by the Green Wave football team this year. The band also performed in parades in Valdese and Morganton heralding the opening of the Christmas season, as well as several concerts featuring music by such well known composers as Richard Wagner and John Philip Sousa, In the future, as in the past, the to the varied Alpine can look forward performance of the band. students of Glen and entertaining 11
