Class Prophecy pee ‘““But I don’t believe that it’s real. It’s not possible ‘“ You just come on in and I will show you that I can really take you ten years into the future and we'll see your classmates.’’ ‘‘And you can take me with you and I can see them and... ““Come! You waste my time. I have no time for foolishness.’ Wonderingly, I followed this strange-looking woman into a wierd, dimly-lighted room. The woman switched on a light and there I beheld the funniest looking little spoon-shaped article. The woman, whose name was Salowtomel, told me to get in. ‘ ‘What! ? Get in that thing? That’s absurd!’’ mOwmisrits) She asked with a funny gleam in her eyes. Then to my amazement, I noticed that we were not even as big as midgets. We got in the spoon which was called Gal Lopper by Salowtomel. It had only two seats and a small window in front and one on each side. “‘We’re off!’ shouted Salowtomel with a press of a button and a wave of her hand. The next thing I knew, we were flying through the sky at many miles per hour. Presently I smelled do-nuts and requested Salowtomel to stop. She didn’t answer. Instead, she began making some of the queerest signs I’ve ever seen. I guess it was some special sign lan- guage of her own, but it worked! ! As soon as we got out of Gal Lopper we regained our normal stature, I was delighted to find that Betty Sue Ross and Adeline Powell were doing very well at that bus- iness. They loaded us with do-nuts and sent us on our happy way. We stopped in New York and I was having some dresses modeled. One of the models was Doris Brown, a striking blonde. She told me that Dorothy Martin was now a bookkeeper upstairs. I had a short chat with Dorothy and she told me that Nancy Beach was now manager and co-owner of a very hoity-toity ladies’ shop just down the street a few doors. After a short talk with Nancy, we resumed our journey. I happened to glance down just as we were passing over a large mansion where many cars were parked. I asked Salowtomel to please stop. Iwas looking around when someone called my name. mearohlin. . .'? ‘ Huh ?!,... Why, Bob Puett, what are you doing here?’’ I asked. ‘ Oh, this is where Jane Graham lives. She’s giving a big party tonight. She’s quite the social- ite now, you know,’’ he replied. I followed him and he led me straight to Jane. Together we went over to see James Baker and Juanita Queen. Juanita was a well-known interior decorator and James turned out to be a French professor. Bob Puett was a famous T. V. actor. ‘‘Do you remember Homer Rumfelt?’’ asked Jane. ‘‘He has a huge chicken farm now.’ Salowtomel and I went on down the country toa circus. We noticed a sign which read, ‘THE WORLD'S FATTEST WOMAN---LOU OLLIE!!’’ I went in to look at her, but I got more than I bar- gained for. To my great astonishment and embarrassment, she grabbed me and almost chrushed every bone in my body. miievamwidtethe. ..! 2° ‘ Carol, don’t you remember me... .Louise McGalliard?”’ Well,I did remember Louise, but not like this! She told me that Ralph Reep was over in a near- by tent. I was surprised to see that he was a regular ‘‘Tarzan.’’ Just then a circus truck drove up, driven by Paul Dellinger. He said it was just one of a fleet owned by Glen Dale and Ramona Long, Paul said he came over to tell Ralph and Louise about the exhibition on billiards playing that Bob Taylor was giving. The next day, at a reunion! had read about in the newspaper, I saw many of the friends that I had graduated with. There were Ralph Beach, celebrated jet pilot, Nancy Kiser, dress designer, Doris Fox, coach of girls’ sports at a large high school, and Kenneth Cuthbertson, construction en- gineer. Also present were Clarence Poteat, vice-president of the Carbon Plant, Sue Dale and Lois Stillwell, both T. V.models for a rye-bread called ‘‘Trim and Slim,’’ Jack Danielle, star sports re- porter for a big name newspaper and Lenora Ann Black, research worker ona new explosive called DKXZ. Harold Mabe was working on his theory that the earth is flat. Louie Hawkins and Bill Puett discovered a strange new planet called Billoo. Jerry Jenkins, U.S. ambassador to the Philippines, and Larry Scott, owner of a professional football team, were the principal speakers, Edith and Winnie Browningtoldof their experiences with orphaned children and Ray Taylor told amusing stories of his life in the Navy. Also present were Faye Bailey,florist shop owner, Harold White, car dealer, Beatrice Fisher, first grade teach- er, Red Morgan, director of T. V. plays and Pansy Holland, mother of four lovely children. We all enjoyed a delightful meal prepared for us by Max Hutchins, chief chef of the Stork Club. Salowtomel and I got situated in Gal Lopper and started for home. It was quite an experience for me and I shall never forget it. By the way, if you're interested, Salowtomel’s full name is Sal- owtomel Zuaxac Dakelz and her address is 60000099 Eccentric Street, Kalamazoo 93, Pennsyletucky. Call her sometime!!!!
