The S. C. A.’s contribution to school spirit was a mascot Hilltopper, a ram. Students Get Back in the Swing If starting off the year well means anything-, then Glass had that going for them. Although the easy lull of summer was somewhat broken up by school’s starting, students got right back into the swing of things. Enthusiastic students made pep rallies, the publications assembly, and Shrine game ticket sales vibrate with vitality. 11 ■

Senior Day again knocked everyone for a loop. What with “hobbits” (little people with hair on the bottom of their feet) invading one home room, and bunny rabbits and butterflies holding another, Glass students were dubious about which room to get the farthest away from. Hidden talents are demonstrated on Sen¬ ior Day, as Jo Anne Dellinger shows her¬ self to be a ballerina. Backstage, Jimmy Connor attentively watches the Publications Assembly. Ann Sackett proves that Senior Day isn’t the only day students let loose. 13
