WE WERE FRIGHTENED 8th GRADERS, SENIOR COUNCIL Down on your knees, all you underclassmen. Here come the seniors. Say to them Hail, al- mighty seniors. ' Louder! louder. They deserve every bit of praise. They have worked terribly hard this year and have certainly earned a distinguished name for themselves. The senior class of 1960 is the largest that has ever graduated from E. C. Glass. This year's senior class was the first to ever elect officers in the spring of the junior year. Their foresight proved invaluable in planning early for the senior year activities. At the opening of school the Senior Council was ready to roll. First came Senior Day with all its fun and frolic. On this extra-special day the Senior Class scored another first. They formed 1960 on the football field during half time, making a very impressive sight. Then came the Senior Banquet and Dance, another wonderful event. The Council, guided by Mrs. Aud and Mrs. Macon, worked tirelessly throughout the year, making arrangements for caps and gowns, in- vitations, personal cards, etc. At last the big night arrived —Commencement. The Senior Class marched solemnly down the aisle attired in the coveted blue gowns to receive their diplomas. The tears came as the Senior Class of 1960 bade farewell to their Alma Mater.
